Trump got his big beautiful bill yesterday. Advertising campaigns have already been launched by both the Democrats and the Republicans. Advertisements have been hitting the airwaves for weeks and will continue doing so. The sell job is going at full speed. It is yet to be determined what effect this bill will have on the November 2026 midterms.

Meanwhile , Trump had a call with Vladimir Putin yesterday. Putin practically laughed in Trump‘s face. After the call, Russia launched its biggest air attack on the Ukraine yet. Russia launched 550 drones and 11 missiles. Trump conceded that Russia might be wanting more Ukrainian territory. So much for settling the war in one day, Donald.

Meanwhile, the US agricultural and hotel industries are getting nervous about all the ICE activity. Hotel workers are disappearing and crops are not getting gathered. Trump and his gang are trying to figure out a viable middle road.

Meanwhile, Trump is pushing back his tariff threats again. July 9 was supposed to be the drop dead date. Now Trump is saying that by July 9 he will be notifying those countries that do not have trade deals that they will be hit with up to 70% tariff rates on August 1. This might have something to do with fact the countries aren’t really lining up to make tariff deals with the US.
