Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany in 1933. By 1939, Germany had turned into a Nazi police state. This involved, in part, turning previously Democratic organizations into organizations supporting Nazi ideals, and removing constitutional protections for individuals. This also involved introducing Nazi ideas into all aspects of life. Furthermore, in 1933, it was city and state governments that ran the country’s police force. By 1936, the country’s police force was unified under SS leader Heinrich Himler.

Donald Trump, came to power, for second time, in January 2025. Unlike the first time, he has no guardrails on him this time. He has yes people working for him. He is demanding loyalty tests. Only the right people can serve under him, such as Stephen Miller.

Where the Nazis inserted Nazi ideas into everyday life Trump has project 2025. Where the Nazis had Jews as the enemy Trump has immigrants of a different colour as the enemy. Where the Nazis had the SS, Trump has ICE. Where individuals, of certain types, such as Jews and gays/lesbians/trans lost constitutional rights in Nazi Germany, the same thing is starting to happen again in the US. Trump used Washington DC as a stepping stone to federalize police authority. Let us not forget Los Angeles also. Trump is now talking about other cities, such as Chicago. Is no coincidence at these cities are all democrat leaning.

This all is happening right in front of us. It has to stop. But who will stop it?
