Back in 2017, in Donald Trump’s first term, he said the following about Qatar.

“So we had a decision to make: do we take the easy road, or do we finally take a hard but necessary action? We have to stop the funding of terrorism. The nation of Qatar, unfortunately, has historically been a funder of terrorism at a very high level.”

It is amazing what money, including a gift of a $400 million plane, can buy. Well, it was announced yesterday, that Qatar will now have a airbase facility in Idaho. This funder of terrorism, will now have a foothold in the US. The MAGA universe is exploding. Laura Loomer, well known right wing nut job, posted over 40 posts on Twitter attacking this arrangement. This is another piece of evidence of Trump’s increasing dementia. Next, he will be inviting Putin to establish a submarine base in Portland, Oregon.

Canada needs to get into this game though. Qatar gave Trump a $400 million plane and Qatar is reaping the benefits. For us to reduce tariffs levied by Trump on us we should give a similar gift. We should provide a never ending supply of traditional Canadian foods, such as poutine, beavertails, Nanaimo bars, butter tarts, and maple syrup. Given the high calorie content of all these foods, the entire Trump problem could die away in a year or so.
