Donald Trump is unhappy with how his Iran war is being portrayed on TV news. If Donald is unhappy, then Brendan Carr, his lap dog head of the FCC is also unhappy. This is what Brendan Carr said over the weekend.

“Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions — also known as the fake news — have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up.”

“The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not.”

Threatening statements for sure. Nothing’s going to happen anyway. Cable network like CNN and MSNOW do not have licenses nor do major networks such as NBC. Local stations have licenses that can be pulled. Though no station has lost a license in years.

So these are a hollow threats at best, but it reflects the thinking of this administration and of Donald Trump himself. He is never wrong in his own eyes. Also, he very much desires to be like his best buddy Vladimir Putin, who has total control of the media in Russia.

So this is a case of a dog’s bark be worse than it’s bite. But, Trump is getting his way in other avenues. For example, the new editor chief of CBS News is Bari Weiss, who has definite right wing views. She nixed a 60 Minutes story, which was eventually put on the air after a hostile reaction to the nixing of the story. A number of news persons have left CBS since her arrival.

This is a thing that definitely deserves watching in the future.
