It is that time of year again. The big dance, to the sweet 16, to the elite eight, which is today and tomorrow and then the final four. It is a time where many Americans and some Canadians do their brackets, or past tense, did their brackets, with most of those brackets collapsing.
Last year I was in one of those ESPN bracket thingies and I ended up in the top 99%. Me and 400,000 other people. This year crash and burn.
Of the 8 teams left, four are from the Big Ten. There are actually 18 schools competing in the Big Ten, but the big 18 is just a bit too awkward. Then again, the Atlantic Coast Conference has two schools from California. So go figure.
Having lived on the border of Michigan for many years, I am rooting for Michigan. But if I had any money on this, which I don’t, I would put it on Arizona.
This is my break from politics. Tomorrow, most likely, my chirps will be back to addressing the disaster that is happening down south of our border.
Happy no Kings day today.
