No Kings

One month ago, after Donald Trump had attacked Iran and eliminated 49 top Iranian leaders, including the supreme leader, Trump had called on the people of Iran to take to the streets. Sadly, definitely fearing for their lives, they did not.

Yesterday though, 10 million Americans did take to the streets in the third no kings protest. 100,000 people gathered in Minneapolis where two innocent civilians were gunned down during the ICE invasion of Minnesota. The protest headliner was Bruce Springsteen, the Boss. There was a separate protest in St. Paul, Minnesota headlined by Jane Fonda and Joan Baez.

Donald Trump already reeling from the Epstein scandal suffered another blow following the ICE fiasco in Minneapolis, which eventually resulted in Kristi Noem losing her job at Homeland security

Trump has been dealt another serious blow with the Iran mess. Americans are now paying a dollar more per gallon of gas that they did just a month ago. We Canadians aren’t happy with our own gas price increases either.

The protesters gathered together to protest all of this and more. The first protest happened a year ago and drew only 5 million now that size is doubled. Trump officials have labelled this as hate protests filled with people with Trump derangement syndrome.

But Trump cannot discount this movement. There have been a number of special elections in the last year many of them in the deep south where the winners have been all Democrats. There is a tidal wave coming. If Trump cannot find a way to derail the midterm elections in November, the Republicans are going to be swept away by a blue wave tsunami,

That’s all I have for today.
