This is David Hearn. He is a three-time US canoeing Olympian. He was biking in Washington the other day, and stopped by the reflecting pool.

The reflecting pool is another Trump boondoggle that initially cost $14.5 million. After the renovation it became an algae cesspool. Paraphrasing an old Crystal Gayle song, ‘ don’t it make my blue pool green’. Then the bottom of the pool started shedding. Trump blamed that on a 300 foot cut inflicted by who knows. A 300 foot cut would be the equivalent of a football field length cut.

Back to David. He was biking in Washington DC and stopped to see the reflecting pool.

“I saw a piece of this loose end of this blue coating … I reached out and touched the end of that piece that was loose but still attached to the bottom. I was able to reach out and touch the edge of that that was still attached at the bottom and handled it a little bit.” 

“I did not remove, I did not damage, I did not rip, tear, break, destroy or harm any part of the Reflecting Pool,”

“The condition of that part and all other parts of the Reflecting Pool were in the same condition after I walked away as they were before I walked up to it.” 

David was immediately arrested, handcuffed, read his rights, and not allowed a phone call for five hours. He was not notified as to what he was charged with.

Jeanine Pirro had a press conference yesterday, claiming that David willfully destroyed a section of the pool. She announced that he will be charged with a felony with a prison sentence of up to 10 years. She said that the Trump administration will not tolerate anyone damaging federal property. She got angry when a reporter asked about the damage done on January 6 to federal property.

This needs big-time air play. This is coming from the top that being Donald Trump. He is embarrassed with the whole reflecting pool boondoggle, and he wants an out. So he sent Jeanine out for his retribution. He is willing to ruin the life of a man who did nothing wrong. He has done this constantly. Do you remember the election workers in Atlanta who he shamelessly attacked on TV? They are still in fear for their lives.

What makes this even more pathetic, is that the day before this incident there were images of the bottom of the pool shredding apart. The day before.

This will be thrown out in court. This probably won’t even make the grand jury stage. But this is frightening. All this is being done for the immediate gratification of a petulant child. I truly hope that this blows up in Trump’s face as it should.
