• More Hypocrisy

Kyle Rittenhouse went to a protest back in 2020, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The protests followed the murder of George Floyd. He came to the protest brandishing a firearm. He killed two protesters. He was tried and found innocent of all charges. The right wing media was in full support of Kyle Rittenhouse, and turned him into a hero.

Alex Pretti went to a protest in Minneapolis, following the ICE invasion of Minnesota. He was carrying a firearm which was holstered and which he had a legal permit to carry. He was a brandishing his cell phone. He was defending a woman who was being attacked by agents. He ended himself being attacked and was shot 10 times. He is being labelled by the right wing media as a domestic terrorist.

We are back in the land of the upside down. How do these people live with themselves?

That’s all I have for today.

  • Shrinking Stick

“speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far”

Theodore Roosevelt used this term a lot while discussing negotiations with foreign countries. Donald Trump with his tariff approach was using his big stick and speaking loudly. It seems to be backfiring on him in multiple fronts.

He tried it with NATO countries, last week, threatening to raise tariffs if they did not support his acquisition of Greenland. He ended up backing down and going home with his tail between his legs.

He is still trying to use it on Canada. Canada has not reached an agreement with him yet. But at the same time, Canada is aggressively pursuing deals with other countries, including China, much to Donald Trump’s aggravation.

Now the EU has reached what is called the mother of all trade deals with India. The EU is doing this, obviously, to offset any trade turbulence with the US. Countries are finding ways to adjust their realities to the realities of the US and it’s maniacal president.

What Donald Trump is finding out is that his big stick is shrinking. The world is finally learning that to deal with a bully, you have to stand up to a bully and that is what is happening.

That’s all I have for today.

  • Enough Already

Donald, you’re only one year into your second term and you are freaking exhausting us all. But you show no signs of stopping.

As a Canadian, you have hit us with tariffs, you talk about annexing us, you threaten us when we make deals with other countries such as China and now you’re threatening us if we don’t buy your F 35s. We are bending, but we sure are not gonna freaking break. Mark Carney put you in your place in Davos too. Our elbows remain up.

Your exhausting the world is a whole too, Donald. This Epstein mess, which will not go away, no matter how hard you try. Threatening to take over Greenland, the easy way or the hard way. Threatening Europe with tariffs if they didn’t support your Greenland move. Then backing down after they stood up to you. Backing out of helping the Iran protesters after you said that you would support them. Now over 3000 dead. This whole Minneapolis thing with ICE. Your people telling us what happened when the videos show a complete 100% opposite. Yet you keep moving on like a pigeon with diarrhea, crapping all over the place wherever you go.

Donald, we are all getting freaking exhausted. We are not gonna stop, but we are still freaking exhausted and tired of your crap Donald.

That’s all I have for today.

  • Get The F Out

Donald, the rational thing to do, right now is to get ICE the freak out of Minnesota. Like right now, like, immediately, like do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

A second innocent was shut down dead by your Gestapo, yesterday. We all have seen the video. We all have seen the witness remarks. You try to tell your supporters do not believe what you see on TV. I do not watch Fox. I do not know if they showed your supporters what we all saw yesterday. It was brutal. It was disgusting. It was pure hatred by your Gestapo

But you’re not going to do this are you Donald? You are not going to do the rational thing. Because Mr. five time draft dodger never backs down. This is all part of your plan isn’t it Donald? The last thing you want are midterm elections. So, you are going to create an environment where there are no elections. You’re going to up the ante, aren’t you? You’re going to create civil strife by putting in place the insurrection act aren’t you? You’re gonna raise the temperature so high that everything is gonna boil over aren’t you Donald?

I’m sick of this. I am sick of you, Donald. I got nothing more to say today.

  • Mother Nature Upset

Mother nature is showing her bad mommy side this weekend. More like an angry mommy. She is taking it out on those of us living south of the 49th parallel. Donald Trump you keep mocking her and this weekend she’s showing you who is the boss.

Thousands of flights have already been cancelled. Ted Cruz is looking at the weather in Texas and already thinking of booking a trip to Cancun.

Oklahoma City set to get a foot of snow, which is about a foot more than they usually get during winter. ICE will even be a nastier word for those in the southern states.

Windchills could hit -40° or worse in parts of the US and Canada. It’s just a good weekend to stay indoors and bundle up.

    Stay safe everybody.

  • You Can’t Play

Donald Trump threatened Mark Carney and Canada, following Carney’s speech, in Davos, Switzerland

I guess Donald is getting his revenge now, as petty as usual

“Dear Prime Minister Carney: Please let this Letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining, what will be, the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time.”

    Donald, I guess is saying,

“if you are not nice to me, I won’t let you play.“

Vladimir Putin is nice to Donald and Donald has asked him to be on the board. But not mean old Mark Carney. Like a number of Donald adventures this one will likely fail too.

Mark Carney‘s speech has won high praise. Essentially he told attendees it’s time to stop playing nice to the bullies of the world. It’s time to stand up in your own and accept the fact that things have changed. He gave example of arrangements and deals that he has made with countries outside of the US. He’s basically saying if we can do it you all can do it. To paraphrase a line from Franklin Delano Roosevelt, you have nothing to fear, but fear itself.

The bully Donald Trump left Davos with his tail between his legs. No tariff threat and no signed agreement on Greenland. He did his usual TACO (Trump always chickens out) routine

Canada is not the only country who will not be participating in Trump’s board of peace. Allies such as France and the UK have rejected the invitation. The world is changing. Mark Carney is right in that there’s a new world order. Part of it is the fact that Canada as well as a number of the countries are just bot that into the US anymore.

So, Donald, maybe you won’t let us play with you, but we will find others to play with and you will be the one all alone.

That’s all I have for today.

  • Dealing With A Bully

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers came out with a song, back in 1989, called ‘ I won’t back down’. One of the verses was as follows.

    Well, I won’t back down
    No, I won’t back down
You could stand me up at the gates of Hell
    But I won’t back down

Donald Trump came to Davos, this week, threatening to take over Greenland, the easy way or the hard way. He was threatening to impose tariffs on NATO countries. In his speech, he threatened other countries, including our own country, Canada.

Well, the NATO countries did what Trump did to a factory worker, last week, in Michigan. They gave Trump the finger. Trump will be leaving Davos, with nothing. Furthermore, he has dropped the tariff threat.

Trump had a meeting with the NATO secretary and, after the meeting, the US announced that a framework had been reached where there was a potential for the US to have sovereignty over the base it has there and sovereignty over the mineral rights in that area. The NATO secretary’s office indicated that no such agreement on sovereignty had been reached. Furthermore, the Danish Prime Minister gave a hard no to any talk of sovereignty. The Danish Prime Minister further went on to say that only Denmark and Greenland can determine the sovereignty of Greenland.

No matter what Trump is saying to save face, he is walking away with nothing. Basically he was told to stuff it.

That’ all I have for today.

  • Transformational

Last year, Mark Carney said that Donald Trump was a transformative president. He did not mean that in a good way. Basically, Donald, in words that you would understand, he was calling you an ignorant shit disturber. Pardon my French.

Mark Carney gave a speech, in Davos, yesterday, showing himself as a transformative, Prime Minister and world leader. He basically said that things have changed. He said that we can’t be nostalgic for the old days. We cannot rely on things the way they used to be. There is a new world order out there and countries, especially the middle powers such as Canada have to adapt to it.

Mark Carney basically said that Trump has created a rupture, in the world and each country, within this world order has to rely on itself in a pragmatic sort of way. This does not mean that countries have to become fortresses. It is a recognition of each country’s own strengths and the recognition of strength and desires of other countries. Canada can no longer rely on its long historical relationship with the US. Donald Trump has proven that.

Mark Carney then went onto identify agreements that he has made since the tariffs with other countries and groups of countries. He received a standing ovation after his speech. That does not often happen in this kind of setting. Donald Trump will be making his speech today and no doubt the reaction will be quite different.

After seeing a speech like that, I am so proud to be a Canadian. I am so thankful that I am a Canadian.

That’s all I have for today.

  • Dangerous Waters

Above all else, Donald Trump wants to be taken seriously, and he does not like being laughed at. He wanted the Nobel peace prize badly. He did not get it. Instead, he got awarded a peace something or other from FIFA. Also, he was given the prize, from the actual winner, the Venezuelan opposition leader, Machado, when she was in Washington, last week. In both cases, Trump was laughed at, worldwide, on social media, and elsewhere. He has seen the laughter. Now he says he doesn’t care about the Nobel peace prize anymore. He also says he’s not gonna pursue peace anymore, either, whatever that means.

We are talking about a person who believes the 2020 election was stolen. We are talking about a person who deposed the leader of Venezuela. We are talking about a person who wants Greenland, a territory that belongs to another NATO country. He wants all this and he doesn’t care what happens. He knows that a woman was shot down by ICE, but he is demanding that the spotlight not be put on the shooter, but on the woman.

Trump wants to be taken seriously. He does not care how much damage he will cause. He really doesn’t. Even Russia is getting nervous about him. Trump went after Venezuela, a Russian ally. Trump is going after Cuba, a Russian ally. Trump is threatening Iran, a Russian ally.

For years, the game has been played a certain way, with all the players recognize that. Trump has up, ended the board and is saying we play the game my way or we don’t play at all.

The doomsday clock is getting closer to midnight.

That’s all I have for today.

  • Diversion

Donald, it is not going to work. All your diversionary tactics to keep us from talking about the Epstein files is not going to work. Rather, it’s going to explode on you big time, in ways you never thought.

First of all, this whole Minnesota thing. I’m sure your base is lapping it up. Just look at Fox News. But there are a lot of independent voters in the US. They are definitely not impressed. To take all focus away from the shooting of Renee and to focus it on the governor and the mayor and Renee’s wife. As one CNN commentator stated the Department of justice has lost its mind.

Then, of course, we have Greenland. This time, thankfully, the NATO countries are not trying to play up to you. They have had it with you, Donald. This big, beautiful EU America trade deal that you made last year. Well, you could forget that. This time, NATO, of which Canada is a part of, is not going to back down. We have all had it with you, Donald.

But the Epstein files are still there. Donald. With all the diversions, the files are still there. The paedophiles that you are protecting, Donald, will have their day. Once they become exposed, you will become exposed too, for your relationship with Epstein, Donald. It is going to happen. Mark my words.

That is all I have for today.
