Get My Way

Donald, you are such a baby.
“We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years by not charging them Tariffs, or any other forms of remuneration. Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake!”
Trump is angry that Denmark just doesn’t give Greenland to him. Trump is also angry with the fact that the other NATO countries are siding with Denmark. The gall they are having to go against poor little Donnie. He is so angry that he’s threatening tariffs on, so far, eight NATO countries for siding with Denmark. He is threatening a rate of 10% as of March 1 with this rate going up to 25% on June 1 if the NATO countries don’t give him what he wants, which is Greenland.
Donald is having a tantrum in front of the whole world. How is NATO reacting to this? Not very compliantly. This is a bridge too far. NATO will not give in. Donald will eventually have to back down unless he wants to destroy NATO. Then again, this is the era of anything can happen. Stay tuned.
That’s all I have for today.

Making It Worse

Maria Corina Machado won the Nobel peace prize, last year, for her fight for democracy against the Venezuelan leader, Maduro. Maduro was abducted by Trump‘s henchmen and is now in prison in New York. Vice president Delcy Rodriguez is now acting president in Venezuela. Rodriguez is said to be even more despicable than Maduro. She is currently playing nice with Trump. However, little has changed in Venezuela.
Machado, visited the White House earlier this week, trying to curry favour with Trump. Trump, in recent weeks, stated that Machado was not ready to lead Venezuela because she does not have enough respect. That did not stop Machado from giving Trump her Nobel peace prize on her visit to the White House. Trump being Trump, kept the prize. Machado did not get any promises from Trump, but she did get a swag bag, as she left the White House
The entire world knows that if you want to get anything from Trump, you have to flatter him as if he’s a five-year-old child. What the world should know is that Trump‘s actions are based on the last person he talks to. Trump may consider, at the moment that the prize was given to him, to play kingmaker for Machado. But if he talks to someone else, such as Steven Miller, five minutes later, he might have a completely different opinion and ensure that Rodriguez remains in power as long as oil comes to the US
My five-year-old grandson, would probably be embarrassed at the flattery given to Trump, at the presents, at the praise given to him. Everyone gets it except him.
It does not matter to him that the Nobel prize committee has already indicated that Machado giving the prize to Trump means nothing. It recognizes Machado as the winner of the prize and no one else. Whoever visits the Trump White House from here on, I’m sure will get shown the prize and hear Trump boasting about the prize being his.
Pathetic.
That’s all I have for today.

Carney And China

“ we take the world as it is, not as we wish it to be”
This is a statement made by Mark Carney, following the announcement of a trade deal with China that will reduce tariffs on canola going into China and electric vehicles coming from China.
For years, Canada and China have had a rocky relationship China’s human rights abuses have always been in the background. The arrest and detention of two Canadians, in Chinese jails, aggravated this tension. The two have since been released.
Mark Carney’s pragmatic quote is, a recognition of today’s environment where the US can no longer be trusted. Carney needs to decrease dependence on US trade and this is one way of achieving that. The risk here is becoming too dependent on China as a customer. So, for Carney, this is a tight rope act.
This trade deal is also aggravating the US. They are upset that Canada is making deals with communist China. They are also upset because Canada and US had jointly come up with an agreement to charge 100% tariffs on electric vehicles coming in from China. Now Canada is breaking that agreement.
The US had been hoping to isolate China economically with its tariff war on China. But because it has declared war on every other country, including an island of penguins, the US is slowly isolating itself, to the benefit of China.
Strange times indeed.

Greenland Irony

Denmark has announced that it will be sending more troops to Greenland. NATO countries, such as Britain, Norway, Finland, and France are indicating they will send small contingents of troops to Greenland. More NATO countries have been invited to send troops on a rotational basis.
The irony here is that these troops are not there to protect Greenland from invasion by, let’s say, Russia. Rather they are there to protect Greenland from invasion by Trump and the US
A US invasion on Greenland now would definitely be an attack on NATO. Trump would have to seriously consider the consequences of such a move. The US would become a pariah, in the world. The US would become more isolated economically in the world.
This is a brilliant move by Denmark and by NATO. It has even gotten the Russian upset lately. The Russian ambassador to Denmark, stated,
“By drawing Nato into the Arctic, including Greenland, Denmark promotes a confrontational approach that always leads to a weakening instead of a strengthening of security in the region.”
I guess he had to say something even though it’s total BS. So, Donald, the ball is back in your court.
That’s all I have for today.

Paedophile Protector

It might just be getting to him. Donald was touring at a Ford facility in Dearborn, Michigan, yesterday. A worker in the audience shouted ,
“Paedophile protector“
Donald did not like that too much. He was caught on camera mouthing the words. ‘F___ You’ while giving the middle finger.
The worker, TJ Sabula, was suspended from his job pending for your investigation. He has no regrets in doing what he did.
‘I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity. And today I think I did that.’
The White House, later, commented on the incident this way,
‘A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the president gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.’
I guess any response Trump gives is appropriate. I guess any response that Trump supports is appropriate like the gunning down of Renee. While he was caught on camera giving the finger to a factory worker, he is kind of doing the same thing to anyone other than, MAGA supporters, so basically, the whole world. One year of his presidency has felt like a decade.
That is all I have for today.

 Jack Smith

Given that Donald Trump is president, just like any other day, there is a lot going on. There is Minneapolis, Iran, weaponized Justice Department, and Trump and whoever he’s going after being sued back.
One event may be slipping under the radar just a bit. Jack Smith will be testifying, in public, before the house judiciary committee, on January 22.
Smith did testify, before a closed door hearing, in December. Video of that eight hour hearing was released, subsequently. But I, like most people, only saw snippets of the released testimony.
On January 22, Smith will be testifying live, in front of a national audience. I am 100% confident that both CNN and MS NOW will be carrying it live. Fox News may or may not carry it depending on their orders from Donald Trump. A live testimony will have much more impact than video snippets. There will be analysis before the testimony, during the testimony and subsequent to. Donald Trump probably is already having nightmares about this.
This will be fun to watch. It will be can’t miss TV.
That’s all I have for today.

Iran Is Burning

Iran was a westernized country, until 1979, the year of the Islamic revolution, that rid Iran of the brutal Shah, Palavi. Those, that are old enough, remember the Iranian hostage crisis where members of the US embassy were held hostage in Tehran until the day Ronald Reagan became president.
Iran has lived under a brutal theocracy, since then. There have been a number of protests that have threatened the theocracy, with the latest large scale protests following the death of Masha Amini, back in 2022. Those protests like the ones before were severely beaten down by the Iranian government
Will these protests be different? Protests are happening in all 31 Iranian provinces. The protests, this time around, are over the skyrocketing prices of everything, in Iran. Sanctions have hurt Iran, in particular, the middle class, big time. Iran also went through a brutal 12 day war with Israel, last year, where Iran was severely weakened. Iran’s proxies such as Hamas and Hezbollah have also been severely weakened.
Donald Trump also might be in the picture. He has threatened to go after Iran, if Iran keeps killing off its protesters. I guess it might be OK to do it in Minneapolis, but not in Iran. It is unknown what action Trump would take if he actually goes through with this threat.
Many Iranians remember the time before 1979. Many Iranians want that back without the repression they suffered under the Shah.
Things feel different, this time around. Things may actually come to a head by the end of this week if Trump gets involved.
That’s all I have for today.

Terrorist? Really?

“ I’m not mad at you“
Those were Renee Nicole Good’s last words, before she was gunned down. This 37-year-old mother of three had just dropped off her six-year-old child at school.
JD Vance said that Good was part of a,
“left-wing network to attack, to dox, to assault and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job.”
Really? JD maybe your Fox News sheep audience might buy this, but absolutely nobody else, including independents do. This is what one activist said, following the shooting
“We’re mental health workers, we’re teachers, we’re people that are connected to our communities in such a way that we see there’s harm being done. There’s nobody in my contact group who are professional agitators.”
Right after the shooting, ICE agents went to a school and started manhandling people at the school and breaking car windows. All Minneapolis schools were shut down Thursday and Friday to prevent further incidents.
There will be more blood shed. Activists are getting together to follow ICE agents around as they conduct their activities of taking people off the streets. These activists are filming what the agents are doing. This is happening across the country. The agents who in most cases are masked are not liking being in the spotlight. Their training has been called into question. The quality of agents hired have also been called into question. The similarities to the brownshirts of 1930’s Germany are growing.
Donald Trump, being who he is, will not back down. His manhood is being threatened. As a result, this five time draft dodger will not back down.
As I chirp this, we have not yet had a full year of Donald Trump being in office. There are still three more years to go. Hopefully the country will not be in ruins by 2028.
That is all I have for today.

Last Words First Words

Renee’s last words, before she was shot down.
“ i’m not mad at you”
The shooter’s first words, after he shot her down.
“ fucking bitch”
That’s all I need to say for today.
