Nazem Kadri plays for the Colorado Avalanche. The Avs and the St. Louis Blues were tied at one game each in their NHL playoff series. In game three, Kadri was pushed into Blues goalie Jordan Binnington. Binnington was having a great series before this. Binnington was injured, in the play, and is now out for the rest of the series. The Blues ended up losing that game and the following game.

Since that incident, Kadri has been bombarded with racist tweets. Usually, tweets like this are sent anonymously. This time however, a number of authors of the racist tweets have identified themselves. Below, is a sample of the tweets.

“you should’ve never came to America you fucking immigrant”

“You should be praising Allah or bombing buildings or chopping peoples heads off like the Muslim you are you son of a bitch”

“Hope you get on a plane and it blows up in Muhammad’s name”

Kadri was born in Canada. These racist threats are unacceptable.
