Getting Worse

If Donald Trump thought April was a bad month, given his arraignment on the ‘hush money’ case, the next few weeks are going to be a lot worse for Donnie and his adoring Trumpkins.

First, yesterday, Mike Pencei ndicated that he would not appeal the Subpoena to testify in front of the January 6, Grand Jury. The circle has closed to the very top. On April 17, the Dominion law suit trial begins. The judge has ruled that top dog Rupert Murdoch must testify. Fox prime time entertainers such as Sean Hannity are also expected to testify. Murdoch and the entertainers have a major problem, in that they will be under oath. While Fox can lie to their viewers, on their shows, if Murdoch and the entertainers lie under oath, they face perjury charges.

If all goes as per plan, Trump’s lies about voting machines will be exposed as lies, during that trial. However, the trial that most likely is giving Trump the worst nightmares is the one that will begin on April 25. The image above is that of E. Jean Carroll. The image was taken in 2006. Carroll accused Trump of raping her in the mid 1990’s.

E. Jean Carroll is an author, a journalist and an advice columnist. The trial is a civil trial where Carroll is accusing Trump of raping her and defaming her, after she bought the accusations to public. The judge in the case has already made rulings that are in Carroll’s favour. Judge Kaplan has ruled that Carroll can introduce two other women who claim to have been sexually assaulted by Trump. Judge Kaplan has also ruled that the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape can be introduced as evidence, in the trial. his rationale is as follows,

“in this case, a jury could reasonably find, even from the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape alone, that Mr. Trump admitted . . . that he in fact has had contact with women’s genitalia in the past without their consent, or that he attempted to do so.”

Trump has claimed that he has never met Carroll and that she is not ‘his type’ Carroll has produced a photograph showing Trump socializing with Carroll. The old ‘I don’t know her I have never met her’ claim is getting stale Donnie.

Trump has problems that are ‘bigly’. In his defense, he can testify. But, facing a severe cross-examination, Trump would trip over himself with all the potential lies that he would make. Trump could also use the fifth amendment. But the jury could easily, then conclude, that Trump actually committed the rape. It is a lose-lose situation for Donnie. Even worse, the trial could be concluded early in May, with a bombshell verdict, against Trump.

To put it mildly, Donnie is in deep doo-doo.
