By now there are celebrations that Donnie has been indicted again. He will beturning himself in, on Tuesday, in Miami. However, Trump may never be tried for this. He may be indicted again for his role leading to the January 6 insurrection and he might not be tried for that either.

Trump was indicted in May in the ‘hush money, investigation. A trial date of late March 2024 has been set. It is estimated that the March 2024, trial will take two to three weeks to complete. That brings the calendar to mid-April. Trump’s team will need time to prepare for a trial relating to the documents trial. That brings the calendar to May or June. This will be when the election season is in full swing. Right now, Trump, is favoured to win the Republican nomination, for President. What judge would be willing to set a trial date for a top Republican candidate, right in the middle of election season. A likely scenario would be a trial date set, after the election. If Trump wins, this all goes away. Trump would order the Department of Justice (DOJ) to drop the case. Plain and simple.

There is an extremely slim possibility that a trial date could be set early in 2024, like January. But the justice system in US does not work that fast.

Trump has one other thing going for him. The location of the trial, if there is one, could have been in Washington DC. However, most of the alleged crimes took place at Mar-a-Lago. Therefore, the trial will likely be in the district where Mar-a-Lago is located. Where a jury pool in Washington would not favour Trump, one in South Florida would.

Bottom line the hope is that Trump does not win the Republican primary If that unlikely event does happen, Trump would run as a third-party candidate. Therefore, Trump has to lose the Presidential election, or else, all bets are off.
