Big headlines this morning. I am sure the Republican twitterverse are doing crazy dance celebrations. After a five-year investigation launched by the Department of Justice under President Trump, with the investigation carried out by Chris Wray’s (Trump appointed) FBI, Hunter Biden will plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and a felony gun charge. He did the crime, and he will do the time. Well then, maybe not. DOJ is recommending probation for the misdemeanor charges and waiver of the gun charge if he abides by certain conditions. The tax amounts that he owed have apparently been paid, in full.

Maybe the Republicans are not celebrating that much. Biden’s lawyer released the following statement.

“With the announcement of two agreements between my client, Hunter Biden, and the Unites States Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware, it is my understanding that the five-year investigation into Hunter is resolved. Hunter will take responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments when due pursuant to a plea agreement. A firearm charge, which will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement and will not be the subject of the plea agreement, will also be filed by the Government. I know Hunter believes it is important to take responsibility for these mistakes he made during a period of turmoil and addiction in his life. He looks forward to continuing his recovery and moving forward.”

So, Biden owned up to it and is moving on. The Biden parents, themselves, released the following statement.

“The President and First Lady love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life. We will have no further comment,” 

Pretty functional family I would say. See Donnie, how easy it is to admit guilt. You can do it too. Donnie, if you really try. I don’t think you will get probation, but you might get pardoned. I love the love the way Hunter’s parents are supporting him. By the way Donnie, where has Melania been lately? Have not seen hide or hair of her. Also, what is this about Ivanka wanting to be referred to as Kushner, instead of Trump? How is your niece, Mary, doing these days? Did you see those books she wrote about you?
