Special Counsel Jack Smith is doing more than getting under Donald Trump’s skin, lately. Smith is scaring the crap out of him. The DOJ handed to the Trump team, its first batch of evidence that it will use in the classified documents trial. It includes recording of Trump, with those recording given with Trump’s consent. This probably includes the interview with Fox Entertainment’s Bret Baier where Trump said he did not comply with the subpoena because he still had to sort out his golf shirts which were interspersed with nuclear secrets documents and invading country documents. Trump had a legitimate defense. He was busy. All those golf dates.

Trump’s reaction to the evidence provided to his team was a meltdown, as shown in his tweets below.

“CONGRESS, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE POLITICAL WITCH HUNTS AGAINST ME CURRENTLY BEING BROUGHT BY THE CORRUPT DOJ AND FBI, WHO ARE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL.” 

Note the all caps.

“Congress will hopefully now look at the ever continuing Witch Hunts and ELECTION INTERFERENCE against me on perfectly legal Boxes, where I have no doubt that information is being secretly ‘planted’ by the scoundrels in charge.”

Going back to the evidence was planted routine.

“THIS CONTINUING SAGA IS RETRIBUTION AGAINST ME FOR WINNING AND, EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY TO THEM, ELECTION INTERFERENCE REGARDING THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.”

Its not only Trump that is having a meltdown. Republicans in general are. The Republican House censured Adam Schiff, for who knows what. Schiff is treating the censure as a badge of honour. Furthermore, those two paragons of reason, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, had an actual catfight on the House floor with Greene calling Boebert a ‘little bitch’.

This clown show is amusing but getting tiresome.
