The title can be taken two ways. Poor Rudy is boggled down with legal issues that he keeps losing. Also these legal issues are leaving him poor. Supposedly.

He lost a defamation case yesterday, in Georgia, after having been sued by Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss. Giuliani had made false statements that the pair had committed election fraud in the 2020 election. Giuliani had conceded last months that his claims were not ‘factually correct’ but they were ‘constitutionally protected’. Whatever that means.

Giuliani had already been forced to pay $90,000 and an additional $43,000 to cover the pair’s legal expenses in trying to get Giuliani to comply with the Discovery process. Judge Beryl Howell, in her 57-page opinion had this to say about Giuliani’s failure to comply with Discovery requirements.

“Perhaps, he has made the calculation that his overall litigation risks are minimized by not complying with his discovery obligations in this case. “Whatever the reason, obligations are case specific and withholding required discovery in this case has consequences.”

Another trial will be held later this year or early next year to determine the amount of damages Rudy has to pay in relation to the lawsuit. The lawyer for Moss and Freeman estimates that the amount could be in millions, if not, tens of millions of dollars.

Rudy’s legal woes continue to grow. He faces a number of other legal issues including two other defamation lawsuits by Dominion and Smartmatic. He has been indicted in the Georgia fake elector case and is an unindicted co-conspirator, in the January 6 case. While Rudy claims he is broke, somehow, he was able to take a private jet to Atlanta to surrender in relation to the fake elector case.

Rudy, you should have gone away quietly as “America’s Mayor”. You did not. You have brought this all on yourself.
