Mike Pence finally realized that he did not have a prayer, after considerable praying, and pulled out of the Presidential race. Nice knowing you Mike, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
We all remember the hang Mike Pence chants and signs on January 6. When Donald Trump was asked about, later on, he kind of justified the actions of the mob,
“Well, the people were very angry.”
We also remember what Trump said about Pence, on January 6,
“didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution.”
He kind of hung Pence out to dry. Like, really, hung out to dry.
When Pence was running for President, Trump said the following nice things about Pence,
“WOW, it’s finally happened! Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side.”
So Trump has gone out of his way to belittle Pence. When Trump asked Pence if he wanted to hang out, he meant it, though not in the way that Pence thought. So after Pence announced that he quitting his run for President, Trump said the following,
“Because I had a great successful presidency, and he was the vice president, he should endorse me. I chose him, made him vice president. But … people in politics can be very disloyal. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Trump says that Pence should endorse him, and, in the same breath, insults him again. The audacity of Trump is beyond stunning. Narcissism, that name is Trump.
