This is Bridget Ziegler. She forms one half of a Florida power couple. Her husband Christian is Chair of the Florida GOP. While Bridget is a co-founder of the extreme right Mons for Liberty and is a board member of the Sarasota School Board. They are supporters of Donald Trump and have been influencers and collaborators with Ron DeSantis in shifting Florida’s education curriculum far to the right. Bridget in campaigning for re-election on the Board used a platform of family values. LGBTQ is not within that platform

The husband of this power couple is now under criminal investigation facing charges of rape and sexual battery. The alleged incident happened on October 2. Bridget was not there at the time and she is not facing any charges. However, the woman alleging the rape claims that the Zieglers have been involved in a three-way sexual relationship with her for the past while. So, I guess that means Bridget might be bi. Now, their private lives are their private lives and they have the right to do whatever as long as laws are not broken. But this is another typical case of Republicans do as I say not as I do. The hypocrisy should be astounding, but it happens so often now.

There are calls for both to resign their positions and they probably will, while denying any if the allegations. Call me shallow but I hope this go to trial and I hope all the dirty laundry comes out.
