This is Alejandro Mayorkas. He is Biden’s Homeland Secretary. He was impeached this week by a vote of 214-213. Republicans impeached him because supposedly he was not doing an adequate job on protecting the Southern border.

This is very perplexing because the Senate, last week, put a bipartisan agreement to a vote. This agreement would have been the strongest Southern border immigration agreement in decades. Yet the Republicans defeated the agreement in the vote. The House Speaker said said that if the agreement had come to the House it would have been DOA.

So, the Republicans impeached the Homeland Secretary for not doing his job and then stopped him from doing his job.

That makes no sense. Then again this is no longer the Republican Party. It is the Trump Party and Trump wanted an impeachment.
