This is Mike Johnson, House Speaker, and way over his head. He will be in a meeting with Joe Biden, along with House (him being one) and Senate Leaders, today, to discuss averting another potential government shutdown that could occur this Friday. This is the guy who called for a two-week recess of the House, with the House returning five days before the potential shutdown

One of the issues to be discussed is the $60 billion dollar aid package to Ukraine. The Republican party is the party of Reagan. Reagan called the Soviet Union? the ‘Evil Empire’. My parents fled post war Europe to escape the clutches of communist Russia. The Cold War ended with the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989. Let there be no mistake, Putin is a carry over of that evil empire.

It is simply mind boggling, to me, as a child of immigrants escaping the red menace to see Trump, Carlson and now Johnson to kowtow to Putin. If this had happened 30 years ago, all three would be identified as traitors

The tide is turning in Ukraine. Without funding support, Ukraine will lose and millions could die. Make no mistake, Putin will not stop at Ukraine. My ancestral home of Poland would be next. Putin wants to restore the Soviet Union.

Johnson better come out if that meeting today agreeing to support funding for Ukraine. If not, he is a traitor, plain and simple.
