Trump’s Presidency and the subsequent years would rightfully be termed as volatile. He has been labelled as untethered. His Presidency broke all the fundamentals. Episodes that occurred during his term would have sunk ANY other President. Despite four indictments and 91 criminal counts, Trump is the Republican nominee for President.
Trump Media is imitating the volatility of its namesake. When it went public back in late March, it has reached a height of $80 per share. This morning, it has fallen to $37 per share. Trump’s net worth has gone down by between two and three billion dollars. He lost one billion dollars in one day.
Since it went public shares have jumped up and down by more than 5% each day and by more than 10% on half those days.
Traders say that this is unheard of and has defied fundamentals. Sound familiar? The company only made four million dollars in revenue last year and lost nearly $60 million. But despite that it is still worth far more than competitors. Sound familiar again?
The wild ride, just like its namesake continues.
