I will admit that it has been tough sledding since the debate. Biden has so many opportunities to call Trump on his lies and he couldn’t. Biden came out old and doddering. I have not watched cable news since. Then Trump is nearly assassinated and then the convention and JD Vance picked as his VP. It was all too painful for me and all Democrats supporters.

Then yesterday happened. Out of the blue Joe Biden, who is stuck at home with Covid, announced that he would withdraw from the presidential race. It was like a thunderbolt struck. I turned from a baseball game to Cable News and started watching what was happening. I woke up this morning and turned on cable news for the first time in weeks. I’m sure many others did the same thing.

all the air has been taken out of the Trump campaign. For the next month until the Democrat convention all the focus will be on the Democrats and the potential candidate candidate most likely being Kamala Harris. Just one day Kamala Harris raised $50 million. Top Democrat officials are already lining up behind her. Donald Trump is already hemming and hawing about debating Harris. for the next month if Harris is the nominee, there will be constant coverage as to who her VP pick will be. Trump will hate the fact that all the attention will be on the Democrats and none on him.

Even with the convention, a four-day event, much of a convention will be focussing on the accomplishments that Biden made. It will be a party like atmosphere which will be carried through to the viewers watching. Poll numbers already show that Harris has a better chance of beating Trump then Biden did.

One more thing that Biden will be applauded for is that he did something that Trump is incapable of doing. Biden put his country first.
