So the question for the day is, are the Republicans deliberately trying to lose in November?
First you have JD Vance with the whole childless cat lady thing. Thus alienating the women’s vote. Then you have the cats and dogs thing. This has resulted in Springfield being under siege. This with news coming out that a Vance staffer called the Springfield city manager to see if the rumours were true, and the city manager, clearly stating that the rumours were faults. The people in Springfield are constituents of Ohio Senator Vance, yet, Vance is the one inflicting misery on Springfield.
Then you have Sarah Huckabee Sanders, attacking Kamala Harris for not having biological kids, further alienating the women’s vote.
Now you have Mark Robinson, who is the Republican candidate for governor in North Carolina. Robinson was given a strong endorsement by Donald Trump. In fact, Trump called Robinson, Martin Luther King on steroids. In addition, Trump has called Robinson, a great guy and would be a great governor in North Carolina. North Carolina is also a state that Trump needs in November. Well it comes out that Robinson calls himself a black Nazi. Robinson has insinuated that slavery was a good thing. Robinson is also a Holocaust denier. After all these revelations, Robinson has still not pulled out of the governors race. Furthermore, there has been no push from the Trump camp to get him to withdraw. This is typical for Trump of never backing down, but instead doubling down.
Now, in a normal time, all of the above, taken together would have decimated the Republicans in November. But sadly, these are not normal times. Trump could still win in November and Republicans could still take the house and Senate. What a time we live in.
