I hope everybody has their seatbelts fastened for the new year. Amongst other things that Trump promises to do that will bring the world to a precipice is to impose 25% tariffs on goods coming in from Mexico and Canada and additional 10% on goods coming in from China. He wants to do this because he wants to stop the flow of illegal drugs and illegal immigrants. I don’t know that many Canadians wanting to emigrate illegally into the US. I guess suddenly we are Third World country mired in poverty.

Mexico is claiming that 70% of the guns in Mexico are illegally coming in from the US. By the way, Mexico is still not paying for the wall that Trump promised they would.

If Trump goes ahead, we all are going to pay. Inflation will start rearing its ugly head again. There will be tit for tat ramifications. Theauto industry where there’s a free flow of goods between the US and Canada will be in turmoil. Bottom line, everything’s just gonna get all. fu#%ed up. Trump does not believe in compromise. He is a zero sum guy where he wants to win and the other guy lose.

Four years from now, a lot of us are going to say we told you so. Hopefully, we are all still around to say so.
