My boycott of watching US cable news continues. I’m just starting to watch snippets of Canadian cable news, and will slowly ease back to that. It’s not really a boycott of watching US cable news. It’s more like I just can’t stomach it.

An example of why I can’t stomach it is an interview Donald Trump had last night on one of the networks. First of all, I can stomach hearing his voice. It literally makes me want to puke. He just lies all the time. Regardless.

The highlights of his interview last night includes that he wants the January 6 committee to be jailed. He doesn’t like separating families with regard to deportations. So his solution is to deport entire families, including children that were born in the United States. He wants to end birthright citizenship. This means children born in the US will not automatically be classified as US citizens. He said last night that the US is the only one that has birthright citizenship. He lies. Three dozen countries have this. Did I say he lies about everything?

I just can’t stomach watching him. His supporters in another year or two would likely be just as upset with him. His acolytes Elon Musk has already said that America needs to trim $2 trillion in social safety net spending.

America, what have you done to yourselves?
