Mondays are usually the most depressing day of the week. It’s the start of a new work week. The weekend is five days away. Yada yada.
I wake up to this, this Monday morning. Danielle Smith, the premier of our province Alberta, made nice with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, over the weekend. this is some of what Smith had to say following her bowing to the autocrat,
“I emphasized the mutual importance of the U.S.-Canadian energy relationship, and specifically, how hundreds of thousands of American jobs are supported by energy exports from Alberta.”
Danielle, this autocrat wants to levy a 25% tariff on all goods coming from Canada. This guy wants to make a 51st state. He does not believe in win-win. To him this is a zero sum game, in which he wins, and you lose. All you’re doing by kowtowing to him is make his position stronger and Canada’s position weaker. With you, he is employing a divide and conquer strategy and you’re falling right into it, Danielle.
I love the fact that you’re in a picture with Trump and Kevin O’Leary. This is what O’Leary has to say.
“Think about the power of combining the two economies, erasing the border between Canada and the United States and putting all that resource up to the northern borders where China and Russia are knocking on the door.”
He is promoting Canada becoming a 51st state. Talk about being in a den of vipers Danielle. You make me sick.
All I can handle for today
