Not Secure

In another move of petty retribution, Donald Trump is removing security detail for a number of people, including Anthony Fauci, John Bolton, and Mike Pompeo. In making these moves, Trump said,

“Do you want to have a large detail of people guarding people for the rest of their lives? I mean, there’s risks to everything.”

Trump also said that he would not feel any guilt at all if some harm came to the three.

Republican senator, Tom Cotton, from Arkansas, reacted to Trump’s action, as follows,

“It’s better to be safe than sorry, because it’s not just about these men who helped President Trump carry out his policy in his first term. It’s about their family and friends, innocent bystanders every time they’re in public.”

Both Bolton and Fauci had criticized Trump in the past. Meanwhile, Mike Pompeo’s crime is that he thought about running against Trump, last year. Mike Pompeo was a loyalist in Trump‘a first term.

Both Bolton and Fauci have received death threats. Iran has threatened to assassinate Bolton. A man was arrested and sentenced to three years for threatening Fauci.

This must throw a scare to others working in sensitive positions in Trump‘s administration. All they need do is fall out of favour with Trump. if they have a security detail assigned to them it could be very easily removed.

Another concerning issue is, let’s say John Bolton does get assassinated by Iran. That would be considered an act of war and the US would have to carry out some form of retribution, thus adding oil to an already enflamed middle east.

But all this does not matter to Trump. All he cares about is revenge. Another three years and 50 weeks of this crap.

All I got.
