Following the election I just plain stopped watching American cable news. I was not alone obviously. Ratings on both CNN and MSNBC tumbled. I am just now slowly started to immerse myself back into cable news. Canadian cable news. The whole tariff issue and Liberal leadership race has walk me back into Canadian cable news in small amounts.

Just coming back from Arizona so I had no choice but to watch a bit of American cable news, and that was MSNBC, only a few minutes a day.

I have no intention of ever going back to CNN. One of the biggest thorns in Donald Trump’s side, the last number of years has been Jim Acosta. He had been with CNN since 2007. He has never backed down to Trump. CNN was afraid that he was too controversial and gave into the Trump train by sliding him to the midnight hour. A Costa would not have it. He left the network. On his last show, he said, do not give it to tyranny. Trump was overjoyed with Acosta leaving calling him a major loser. Acosta responded by saying that Trump had ADS, that being Acosta Derangement Syndrome.

Acosta has now moved on with many others to Substack. You can find them there. As for CNN, good luck trying to play nice with Trump.
