Measles Death

A child died, of measles, in Texas, this week. This is the first measles death, in the US, since 2015. Currently, Texas is going through its largest measles outbreak in 30 years. Right now, in West Texas, there are 124 cases of measles reported. Most of these if not all of these are for those under the age of 18. The child who died was unvaccinated.

RFK Junior is now the head of health and human services. He has been on the job for one month. This death, in itself, cannot be attributed to him. RFK Junior is a known anti-vaxxer.

Donald Trump, in appointing RFK Junior as the head of health and human services has given validity to RFK, junior’s views, including his views on anti-vaccination. The number of measles cases, in the US, and in Canada, is on the rise. More children will die because of the validity given to RFK Junior.

This is a totally preventable illness. There should be no cases of measles. There would be no cases of measles if there was 100% vaccination rate.

It’s sickens me for this to happen. It sickens me even more that it’s going to get worse. This is just measles. What other preventable illnesses will people die from because of the validity given to RFK Junior?

All I can stomach for today.
