This is Michael Cooper. At the time of this interview he was the MP for St. Albert-Edmonton. This riding has since been redistricted to include a wider rural area and has been renamed St. Albert-Sturgeon River. Cooper will be the concerned candidate, in this riding, in the upcoming federal election.

The above image is taken from a CBC interview with Cooper during the freedumb convoy protest, in Ottawa in 2022. Notice the flag behind Cooper. An upside down Canadian flag, with a Nazi Swasika, on it.

Most Canadians, naturally, were horrified by this image, regardless of whether you were a supporter of the convoy or not. After the harsh reaction to this image, Cooper stated that he did not realize that the flag was in the background and he condemned its presence.

That is all well and good. Kudos to Mr. Cooper for condemning it. But he never should’ve been in that position to begin with. What kind of people was Cooper hanging around with at the time? He along with Pierre Poilievre were in Ottawa, supporting the convoyers. Other people supporting the convoyers, at the time, included; Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Joe Rogan and Elon Musk.

Anyone voting in the next election in this riding and in Canada, as a whole, need to look at the strange bedfellows associated with Cooper and Poilievre, before casting their vote.

FYI, the liberal candidate for this riding is Lucia Stachurski.
