I thought the picture of Trump, dressed as the pope, came from some kind of joke account. But I was wrong. Donald Trump posted it on his truth social site. It was then posted on the White House’s Twitter account.
As a Catholic, I’m offended. I am offended by the fact that Donald Trump is Catholic. But, let’s leave it to former Italian Prime Minister,Matteo Renzi, to have the last word on this,
“This is an image that offends believers, insults institutions and shows that the leader of the right-wing world enjoys clowning around.”
Meanwhile, we have Mark Carney. Both he and Trump are similar, in that they are businessman as opposed to being in career politicians. That is where the similarities end. Mark Carney is a successful businessman. Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy four times.
Mark Carney was asked whether he would trigger a bi election for Pierre Poilievre, who lost his seat, in the election. This is how. Carney responded.
“I will ensure that it happens as soon as possible … no games, nothing, straight.”
If the roles were reversed, would Poilievre have done the same? He is a career politician. Probably not.
I guess we all know, of the two images shown above, which image has the clown in it.
All I have for today.
