There is a lot of newsworthy stuff going on today. Russia just launched its most vicious air attack on Ukraine yet, in this invasion. The forest fire situation in Western Canada is getting worse, especially, in Saskatchewan. Mark Carney has agreed to high-level trade talks with China. This will be a big boom to Canadian exporters such as canola farmers if the talks are successful.

All this is going on, just today. But the media focus is on the messy spit up between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. I was going to go into detail as to all the events that happened, in just one afternoon. But the above pretty well, sums it up. The tweets got nastier as the afternoon moved on. The Trump flunky, who called for mask to be deported, was Steve Bannon, on his podcast. Do you remember when Trump was supporting Elon Musk’s Tesla stock on the White House lawn. There was a red Tesla on the lawn. Trump said he would buy it. It is still in the White House parking lot. However, Trump said that it will be gone by the end of today. it

This all started with Musk attacked Trump’s big beautiful bill. Trump is threatening to remove Musk contracts from government spending. But Musk has a couple of cards in his hand too.

This is akin to two mafia bosses going to war. Trump has the political power. But Musk has the hundreds of billions, which he can weaponize. Republican congressman and senators are stuck in the middle. Musk spent over $250 million supporting Trump‘s campaign and campaigns of senators and congressman. Musk is now threatening to hold off providing any Republican campaign funding, in future elections. He is threatening to provide funding to Democrats.

Both, Trump allies, and Musk allies are begging for reconciliation. But these are two spoiled little children too used to getting their own way and now are having tantrums

One burning question remains. If these two divorce, who gets custody of JD Vance.
