Donald Trump, to his credit, is a master manipulator of the media. A few weeks ago, the top headline was Trump’s big beautiful bill, which was facing serious headwinds. Then the issue kind of disappeared, to be replaced by the ICE deportation in California and the bombing of Iran.

Well, the big beautiful bill is back in the spotlight and this is not good news for Donald. After severe pressure from Trump, which again he is good at, the house did pass the bill. Trump wants this bill passed by the Senate by July 4, America’s birthday. The bill if passed in its original form would turn America, into MAGAMERICA.

There would be massive funding for Trump’s deportation dream, deep cuts to Medicaid, and of course, more tax breaks to the rich. The Congressional Budget Office estimate that of the current bill is passed, it would add $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next 10 years Of course Trump and his cronies disagree with that estimate.

Senate Republicans are scared crapless of the bill that was passed by the house. The severe Medicaid cuts, especially in swing states currently held by Republican senators would cost these Senators their seats in the next election. The house bill could result in Democrats assuming the majority in both the house and Senate in 2026. Even worse for Republicans is the latest opinion poll, for the bill, showing support at only 27%.

This is going to be a messy weekend for the bill as a Senate tries to make it more acceptable to the public. It would then have to go back to the house with House Republicans probably not accepting the revisions.
