Donald Trump has been going through hoops trying to get out from under the Epstein mess. He had Ghislaine Maxwell interviewed. But given the fact that he might pardon her does not give her any credibility at all, considering the possibility that she was coached before the interview by the Trump lawyer. He wanted the grand jury testimony opened. He got a scathing rebuke by the judge yesterday in turning down that request.
“Its entire premise – that the Maxwell grand jury materials would bring to light meaningful new information about Epstein’s and Maxwell’s crimes, or the Government’s investigation into them – is demonstrably false.”
“It consists of garden-variety summary testimony by two law enforcement agents. And the information it contains is already almost entirely a matter of longstanding public record, principally as a result of live testimony by percipient witnesses at the 2021 Maxwell trial.”
if Trump was serious about getting to the bottom of the matter, which he definitely is not because he is the bottom of the matter, he would set up interviews with the victims. He cannot do that though, because some of the victims would most likely identify him as a predator. He can also set up an interview with Alex Acosta, Attorney General for Florida, back in 2008 who gave Epstein a sweetheart deal of only 13 months much of which was under a work release program. Trump will never do that.
This whole thing stinks and Trump knows it and sooner or later it is going to get him.
That is all I have for today.
