“If you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore”

Donald Trump said this on January 6 just before the attack on the Capitol. Right now, at this very point in time, Donald Trump is attacking freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Republicans love using the phrase ‘cancel culture’ well Trump and the Republicans are doing the exact same thing right now.

This is one of the things Trump said about Jimmy Kimmel being removed from his nighttime spot.

“Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.”

Trump is using the FCC in his attack on freedom of speech. This is what he said about Brendan Carr, the chairman of the FCC.

“I think Brendan Carr is outstanding. He’s a patriot. He loves our country, and he’s a tough guy, so we’ll have to see.”

Trump’s next two quotes are simply terrifying. There is no other way to put it.

“All they do is hit Trump. They’re licensed. They’re not allowed to do that. They’re an arm of the Democrat Party.”

“I mean, they’re getting a license. I would think maybe their license should be taken away. It will be up to Brendan Carr.”

Those statements, and statements above, should not only terrify those on the left and in the centre of the political spectrum, but it should also terrify those on the right. Countries who are already doing what Trump proposes, include, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and North Korea.

The quote below was made by a person who has had his own controversies and that I disagree with far more than I agree with
