This is a story that has slipped under the radar, given all the attention to the Charlie Kirk murder, and the departure of Jimmy Kimmel.
However, this is a story that soon might be in the headlines. This is Trey Reed. He was a student at Delta State University, in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was 21 years old.
He was found hung, on a tree, on campus, last Wednesday. A few hours later, and only a couple of hours away, a white homeless person was found hung on a tree, in the forest, outside a casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi. That man was 36 years old Cory Zukatis.
Cause of death, for Zukatis, has yet to be determined. Cause of death for Reed has already been identified as a suicide.
Two men, found hung on trees, on the same day, in Mississippi. Colin Kaepernick, former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, who got blacklisted out of the NFL for taking a knee during the national anthem is providing funds for a private autopsy of Reed. The NAACP has already called this suspicious death a lynching. Mississippi was the state where three civil rights workers were murdered in 1964.
Does this thing stink to high heaven? It sure does. This will play out in the national media over the next little while. The results could be explosive.
That’s all I have for today.
