When Donald Trump lost his king ship for four years, he complained that Joe Biden was weapon the justice department. This is what Donald Trump texted to Pam Bondi, yesterday.

With Trump‘s attacks on freedom of speech and now this Trump is playing off Putin’s handbook. During his campaign, Trump said that if he was elected this time around Americans would never have to vote for him again. In essence, he was telling Americans that there would be no more elections.

One frightening example. Trump has been going after Letitia James. New York State Attorney General. Trump and James have been at loggerhead for years. Trump wanted Eric Siebert, US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to file charges on James for mortgage fraud. Siebert refused to do so, despite pressure from Trump. Siebert resigned this weekend, although Trump said that he fired Siebert. He has been replaced by a pro Trump, lawyer, Mary Cleary.

This is not an isolated incident. As a Canadian, it feels like watching a train wreck in slow motion. America is slowly slipping away from democracy to autocracy.

Today is Charlie Kirk’s funeral. Trump will be one of the speakers at the funeral. It is reported that he has been doing most of the writing for the speech himself. It is frightening to think what he will say. He will not calm down the situation, guaranteed. He will only make things worse. This has a 1930s Nazi Germany feel. It really does.
