With all the craziness that’s happening in the world the last couple days, this news story has slipped under the radar. The funding shut down insanity continues in the states. Israel is blocking a humanitarian aid flotilla from entering Gaza and so on.

Donald Trump signed an executive order the other day.

“In recognition of this history, and in light of the continuing threats to the State of Qatar posed by foreign aggression, it is the policy of the United States to guarantee the security and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar against external attack.”

“The United States shall regard any armed attack on the territory, sovereignty or critical infrastructure of the state of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States.”

Usually, this would need congressional approval. However, Trump did this by himself with his executive order. Qatar is now getting the same guarantee of security and protection that NATO countries are given.

Qatar was designated by the Biden administration back in 2022 as a major non-NATO ally of the United States. The US also has a large airbase in Qatar.

Back in May of this year, Qatar gifted Trump a $400 million plane which supposedly will be used to replace the current Air Force One after renovations of hundreds of millions of dollars will be made to the plane. Once, if and when, the Trump presidency ends, the plane will go to the Trump library, nudge nudge, wink, wink. Last I checked our local libraries do not have planes.

What Trump has done, is potentially put the US into the mix of a Middle East conflict. Qatar, just like Saudi Arabia, does fund terrorist organizations. In fact earlier this year, Qatar was hit by an Israeli air raid going after Hamas, as per the image above.
