So why did Donald Trump let go of his favorite, Pam Bondi?

Donald Trump would probably give you a bunch of reasons. Pam Bondi did say that she had the Epstein list on her desk. She lied. Was it because of her February photo op where she handed out binders of Epstein file documentation to conservative influencers? Turned out that all the information in those binders was information already available to the public. The influencers were not pleased.

Maybe it was when she claimed that there were 10,000 videos of Epstein child porn in the files. We are still waiting for video one.

Maybe it was when she refused to acknowledge the Epstein survivors during testimony. She was asked to turn around and apologize to them and she just ignored the request.

Maybe it was because she was a failure in implementing Trump‘s retribution campaign. She tried to indict Jim Comey, Leticia, James, Adam Schiff and others with all of her attempts, failing miserably.

Trump could rationalize the firing with a number of reasons. But the key reason is as as follows. Pam Bondi was subpoenaed, in a bipartisan manner, to appear before the house oversight committee on April 14. She would’ve had to testify under oath about the Epstein files. Trump simply could not allow that. By firing her, Trump hopes to remove her from this. He might not be successful, though. Even though Pam Bondi is no longer Attorney General, she still may be forced to testify. Republican attempts to remove her from this obligation will only make the Republicans and Trump himself, look even worse than they already are looking. So this is not over yet.
