We were your best ally Donald. Though we don’t get as much mention as we should, we were on the beach of Normandy with you and the other allies back on D-Day. We gave you full support on 911. We hosted thousands of Americans in Gander that day. We went to Afghanistan with you.

Have you ever seen an angry beaver, Donald? How do you think a bald eagle would fair in a fight with a pissed off Canada goose. Canada geese are relatively friendly if you know how to handle them and if you don’t piss them off. But if you piss them off, they will F you up.

Here’s some polling numbers for Donald. According to the Pew Research Center, back in 2022, Canada considered the US a dependable partner. Now that is down to 35%. Back in 2024. 54% of us Canadians looked at the US favorably. That is now down to 33%. One more thing Donald these latest numbers were before your 50% tariff. I’m sure it has gone down since.

Donald, be careful what you ask for because you might just get it. The sad part is, this is not only going to hurt you but it’s going to hurt your country for decades to come. We may hurt in the short term. But in a long-term, we will find other trading partners, we already are, and your country will be the worst for it.

This is also a message to Pierre Poilievre. Pierre, you’re not having a good summer. There’s a lot of discontent in your camp. There is still a lot of hurt from the 2025 election. One of the reasons is, whether you want to admit it or not, or whether you even want to acknowledge it or not, is that there are a number of maple MAGA in your caucus. As long as you are willing to give a wink wink nudge nudge to these members, your party is going nowhere.
