Just a short chirp today. Today is Sunday, so the political landscape is quiet, except for Donald Trump and his Truth Social rants. Many of his rants are about the crooked, fascist, communist, socialist, leftists who are unfairly working to indict him. Par for the course. But, for some reason, in a rant, this weekend, he mentioned his anger at being indicted under the Insurrection Act. This caused a tsunami of reactions in the Twitterverse. He did revise the rant, replacing the Insurrection Act with the Espionage Act. This caused another tsunami in the Twitterverse given that Trump is not known for revising rants, that are once posted. Does he know something that we don’t? Trump’s rants have become more hysterical of late and it is fair to question his sanity and grip on reality. One can say the same goes for his Trumpkins.

Regardless, the media is ablaze with news that two more indictments will be filed against Trump, quite soon. Those being the federal indictment relating to the January 6 insurrection on the Georgia indictment on the false electors. Meanwhile, Trump’s legal team are making ‘Hail Mary’ filings such as the request to postpone the documents trial until after the November 2024 election.

So while today is quiet, one should anticipate another wild week to come.
