If it was anyone other than Trump, that person would be in for a long prison sentence. Trump needs to be treated as such, like any other person. Another major consequence is that EVERY intelligence agency of any other country will be leery to share any intelligence with the USA, in the future. It is reported that the DOJ is already investigating. Trump should expect another indictment soon.

Woke up this morning to find out that Israel is under attack by Hamas. This attack takes place 50 years to the day of the beginning of the 1973 Yom Kippur war. So far 40 Israelis have been killed and nearly 1,000 injured. It is reported that nearly 200 Palestinians have been killed and 1,600 injured. A number or Israeli citizens are barricaded in shelters calling for help. A number of Israeli soldiers and citizens have been taken hostage.

This is a major blow to Israeli intelligence agencies They were caught flatfooted, plain and simple. Russia and Iran have already indicated their support for the Hamas attack. President Biden will be speaking to the US nation sometime today. Meanwhile Congress is in disarray, given no Speaker. Will Congressional dysfunction have any effect on the US response to this situation?

Israeli will eventually get the situation under control, but a terrible death toll will be incurred in doing so. Naturally there are concerns over escalation and concerns over the level of Israeli vengeance. Plainly, this is a very frightening time.
