Hot Mess Trial

The hush money is only three days old, given yesterday was an off day and already the judge must be asking himself ‘why me?’

There was bickering Monday morning between the defense and prosecutors over various issues. The judge stated Wednesdays would be off but if delaying tactics continued, the trial might start being held on Wednesdays as well. The judgement that the trial would continue on Religious holidays but would end at 2 pm to allow for those observing the holidays to attend festivities. Donald Trump bitterly complained that he would not be allowed to attend Barton’s high school graduation. This despite that Trump did not attend any of his other kids’ graduation. The twitterverse went nuts this with implying that Barton’s dad would be there with these tweets accompanied by a picture of Justin Trudeau.

Trump appeared to have violated gag orders a few times. The judge decided to have a special hearing on this next Tuesday

Despite all this, by the end of Tuesday, seven of the 12 jurors had been selected. Things seemed to be going on schedule. The one thing that puzzled me was that while the identities of the jurors were to be kept secret, their gender, their race and their occupations were made public.

Yesterday Trump complained that his team was only allowed ten strikes of potential jurors. Trump wanted to be treated differently. Of course he does. Last night Trump posted on Truth Social a comment made by a Fox entertainer that the nasty liberals were trying to get ringers on the jury. Again a violation of the gag order

This morning already promised fireworks. It got much worse. One of the seven jurors selected requested to be taken off because friends were blowing up her phone yesterday asking if she was one of the jurors. There are not too many oncologists in NYC. Her friends added two and two and got her. The judge granted her request and excused her.

The prosecution team then raised questions of another juror who claimed to find Trump fascinating. A deeper dive into his past found concerning political issues including tearing down political posters.

All this is happening as I am chirping this The judge had hoped to have this trial completed in six weeks. This mayhem is good for Trump in his hopes that he gets a mistrial. But if that does not happen and the trial goes longer than 6 weeks, Trump will be stuck in the courtroom each day while Biden is campaigning around the country
