Republicans always campaign on the issue of the economy that they are good for the economy. Democrats are bad because they increased deficits and focus on issues other than the economy.

Bill Clinton inherited a faltering economy from George Bush and left with surplus budgets. Barack Obama inherited the 2008 recession and handed Donald Trump a strong economy. Donald Trump, in his first term, increased the deficit, bigger than any president before him, leaving Joe Biden a mess. Biden left Trump a healthy economy, regardless of what the Republicans say.

Here we are, less than two months into Trump’s presidency, and economist are already fearing a recession. Yesterday, the Dow Jones went down almost 1000 points. Another decline is forecast for today, based on what is happening in Europe and Asia. Trump in his business dealings has gone bankrupt six times. Casinos never lose money. His casinos went bankrupt.

Tariffs do two things to worldwide economies. They create inflationary pressures and they slow down economic growth. Well, Donald Trump is sure helping that along isn’t he?

Meanwhile, Putin is just licking his chops. Trump’s actions, helped along by co-president Musk, is giving increasing credence to the conspiracy theory that Trump is a Russian agent with the code name, Krasnov. Either that or he is deranged. Take your pick
