Believe it or not, Donald Trump’s presidency is not even two months old yet. It has felt like two decades.

In the last 24 hours alone, Trump imposed 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum against the entire world. The entire world has retaliated by imposing tariffs on the US. The EU imposed a 50% tariff on alcohol coming in from the US. So, Trump is imposing a 200% tariff on wine and champagne coming from the EU. We, here in Canada retaliated by imposing 25% tariff on close to $30 billion worth of goods coming in from the states. US commerce secretary, Lutnick blasted Canada for the retaliation, saying that the US imposition of these terms was for security reasons. Last week was because of fentanyl and illegal immigrants and US banks not being able to operate in Canada and, and, and. Lutnick also says that we also should listen to Donald Trump because he speaks the truth. 🤮 my first chirp emoji. The depression that followed the 1929 crash lasted for about 10 years. The length of the depression was exacerbated by countries going into protectionist mode. Here we are again Trump doing the same thing. Trump even mentioned the recession word last week.

Yesterday, there was a shouting match at one house committee meeting because Elon Musk didn’t show up. Another GOP lead committee meeting was abruptly ended when the chairman called transgender congresswoman McBride, Mister. The chairman was called on it and abruptly ended the meeting.

Just four days ago, the liberal party selected a new Prime Minister. The conservative party the very next day demanded an election, immediately saying that Canada should not be led by an unelected person. Well, Mark Carney won’t be sworn in as Prime Minister until Friday. He still needs to pick out a cabinet. Cause the considered us be whining because of the fact that the liberals are shooting up in the polls.
