This is what Toronto looked like yesterday. This scene was repeated in a number of US northern cities, such as Chicago, Boston, Detroit, and New York City. The fires have destroyed some communities in Northwestern Ontario. Passenger train transportation between Winnipeg and Toronto have been cancelled for the time being. Roads have been closed. So far, thankfully there have been no fatalities.

If you go on the Facebook pages, you will see a remarkable amount of American vitriol, directed at Canada. Comments such as do something about this or else. What does the or else means? You mean you’re gonna invade our country. Try it. Have you ever messed around with the Canada goose. Try it and you know what you will be in for if you try to mess with us.

OK, my last few sentences sound a bit over the top. But that’s nowhere close to over the top compared to the comments being seen on Facebook. One ignoramus denied that it was climate change because climate change has been debunked. Really? What guy in the basement living with his mom are you listening to? Idiots.

But just when you thought that American intelligence could go no lower there was some hope last night. Donald Trump gave his address to the nation with the topic being his lies about the 2020 election. NBC did not carry it. ABC did not carry it. CBS carried a bit of it. CNN and MS NOW carriedsnippets of it. That left FOX. Of course FOX. Of course, the audience on that channel are the ones sending the hateful Facebook posts to Canada. Coincidence? I think not. I did not watch thespeech, but apparently Donald Trump was very angry at the networks because they were not carrying his speech. Poor Donnie.
